The Right To Bear Arms
Today was an Applebaum and Company reunion in Munich. We all met up in Munich for a bit of wandering and a delicious lunch of weinerschnitzel at the Spatenhaus. It was amazing to see my parents and everyone. I GOT HUGS! And tried a latte macchiato with Elle. Drinking coffee may be my thing, it was tasty! From breakfast, we made our way in the BEAUTIFUL WEATHER of sunshine and clear skies (hence the right to bear arms - I wore a tank top today) to a local market where we bought some bread and Alex and I “licked” an ice cream cone taller than us. Well, I “licked” it, he actually licked it…silly Alex. Somehow we found a chocolate shop on the way to lunch. A good majority of them are gluten free so my mom could happily enjoy the chocolates with us. I’m definitely going back there.
Lunch at the Spatenhaus was AMAZING. There were appetizers and side dishes and whenever someone offered them to me, I said, “No, I’m saving it for weinerschnitzel.” Plus I was still a bit full from munching on the bread and chocolate. After lunch though, the family had to fly back to Italy and I went with Kathrin, her friend, and Isabella to shop in Munich. HUGE SALES. I finally found a pair of jeans at H&M. I have to take about 4 inches off the bottom of them but, if I may say so, my butt looks gooood! :D Haha.
We were in the center of Munich when it was announced that South Korea will hold the 2018 Winter Olympics. Everyone was bummed, but thankfully there were no riots and everyone left relatively peacefully. The balloons were released and the fire crackers went off, scaring Isabella, because the city had to do something with them. I took cliche photos of the balloons flying up into the sky. I’ll post them on Facebook later.
Tidbits:
1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 comes out in Germany July 14. I want to see in then and brag about it :P
2. I know why T-Mobile has awful service in the US; it’s a German company.
