How flying an airplane is like riding The Hulk
Have you ever compared something as mundane as sitting in an airplane to something as exhilarating as riding a roller coaster?
You wait in line to board a machine and you’re told where to sit. Once you’re seated, you’re told to fasten your seat belt and store any valuables. You taxi to the take off point, and in The Hulk’s case, you ride the green coaster up about 5 seconds. And soon you take off! Both start out “slow” and increase in speed. When an airplane takes off, it lets out a mechanical roar/rumble just like The Hulk. It’s a deep and all engulfing sound.
Air passengers and coaster riders have a set destination in mind, and along the way it’s probable to experience some slight turbulence. Maybe a baby drop or shaking in the plane, and for sure loops and corkscrews aboard The Hulk. So the next time you ride The Hulk (or another roller coaster, whatever comes first), think about a flight you took.
“But wait!” you say. If A=B, and B=C, A=C. So if life is like a roller coaster, a roller coaster is like flying in an airplane, is life now like flying in an airplane?
