Winter
The photo shoot at Pichlarn is canceled. The weather has been cold and cloudy the past few days and Tuesday is supposed to be the same. I’m actually kind of happy. I get to celebrate the 4th of July for real tomorrow, and not get back late Tuesday night when I may have to wait an unreasonable amount of time for the bus.
I made pancakes for the girls this morning. Isabella helped with the mixing and adding of ingredients and had a blast. She added some chocolate shavings to the first few but they burned so I stopped. They came out flat and a bit doughy, but still edible, and never having pancakes before, the girls loved them and happily ate them with nutella :] I had that and strawberry yogurt with granola. I’m bringing a few boxes of that stuff home. European granola is so much more delicious and crunchier. It’s less like flavored oats and more like an actual cereal.
We had lunch at the Osteria restaurant at the Sheraton Fuschlsee-Salzburg, Hotel Jagdhof (yes that is all one name). It’s the Italian restaurant. Their pizza margherita is ok. We walked from the Sheraton to the Schloss Fuschl for coffee and Fuschl Cake. Oh, my god. It’s delicious. I felt bad because I couldn’t finish the last bite in fear of bursting. But it was about high 50s, low 60s today, cloudy and drizzly. I really love Miami weather.
Tomorrow is the 4th of July!! I haven’t been home for the 4th of July in 9 years. We always used to celebrate as a family and see the fireworks at the Biltmore, but they don’t do that anymore :( Yay for new traditions and enjoy summer is interesting places!
