So today was my first day of work at the hotel. I was taken to the office and immediately started to work. I read over 4 or 5 ENTIRE websites for all three hotels the company owns to check if the English version of the website is correct. The first website took me 2.5-3 hours. It.was.awful. I made 22 pages on word of 2 screen-shots a page of corrections. Thankfully though, the other websites took 30 minutes or less. It all began to repeat at some point. I can’t tell you how many times I corrected the word ambiance from ambience. It’s probably well over 100 and that is not an exaggeration. 

I proofed a few more things in English and then twiddled my thumbs for a good while. Left the hotel at 4:24 because the bus comes every hour and I had missed the 3:24 bus by about 20 minutes. That’s the countryside for you. I stopped for ice cream on the way home. Cornetto yummm. It was good, but there’s something about the ice cream here that is so unsatisfying. 

I’m excited for work tomorrow. Hopefully it’ll be more interesting than today!
